[caption id="attachment_97" align="alignright" width="380" caption="Step off the sidewalk and straight onto a woodland trail."][/caption]A walk in the park is just outside your door on Bellingham's "greenways" trails. Miles of level, tree-lined walking and biking paths connect Bellingham parks and neighborhoods. They're well-maintained so you'll be sure-footed year-round on their clean gravel surface. There are lots of easy access points from neighborhood streets.
Here are some of the things you can do on a greenways trail: Admire the sunset from a boardwalk perched out over the edge of Bellingham Bay. Stroll with friends and have a nice conversation. Walk past waterfalls. Watch birds. Ride your bike for miles and miles. Take your dog out for a run. See salmon swim upstream. Get a breath of fresh air. Take a shortcut between neighborhoods. Catch a glimpse of deer. Walk to a freshwater beach--or, if you prefer, walk to a saltwater beach. Listen to the patter of raindrops on leaves. Jog from one park to another.
If you like the idea of being out on the trail in a couple of minutes, you might want to take a look at houses for sale located right on a greenway. Contact me for more information!
