Day 149 - 365 Things To Do In Bellingham, WA - Whatcom Water Week

The first Whatcom Water Week is here. From walking tours to beach cleanups to rainwater workshops, the aim of the education and celebration.

The county-wide event has loads of activities also throughout the week, which ends Sept. 25.

“We wanted to offer something for all sorts of people around the idea of water being an integral and important part of Whatcom County,” said Sue Blake, one of the organizers and the water resource educator for Washington State University's Whatcom County Extension and Washington Sea Grant.

Today's event are

1. A 1 hour and 15 minute tour from 2pm, 3:45pm of the wastewater treatment facility at the Post Point Pollution Control Plant, 200 McKenzie Ave,  Tours are open to ages 8 through adult. No high heels or open-toe shoes, groups of 20 or less. Large groups/classes can contact eejohnson@cob.org to schedule a private tour.

2. What's for Dinner? A Fun Family Feeding Frenzy at the Marine Life Center 3L30pm at Marine Life Center, 1801 Roeder Ave.

3. Water Talent Show 7-9pm at Nooksack Valley High School PAC, 3326 East Badger Rd, Everson
