Semiahmoo (native for Half-Moon, a reference to the shape of Semiahmoo Bay) is a residential community as well as Resort apprx. 30 min. north of Bellingham and 10 min. to the Canadian border. It's location is one of the most important aspects being on the NW end of Whatcom county on the coastline with stunning westerly views and northwesterly views which include White Rock, B.C. and the Canadian Rockies beyond.
The seaside Resort offers a full service spa and two Golf Courses, the course at Semiahmoo and also Loomis Trail. The Semiahmoo course was designed by Arnold Palmer and was ranked 55 of Golf Digests top 75 courses in the U. S.(2009). If Golf is not your passion, there are numerous walking trails, some right on the waters edge, the Maritime Museum showcasing the Cannery history of the Semiahmoo region, or head on down to Birch Bay for a stroll on the beach or to romp and play in the water.
The homes in this community are simply put, extraordinary and high-end with the average sale price in the mid $600's. In addition to the many styles of homes are Condominiums and cottages so if a large home does not fit your style, you can still enjoy this community on a smaller scale. Pride of ownership shows throughout the gated neighborhoods of well maintained homes, some right on the golf course itself.
The landscape and geography is heavily treed and high on the bluff of the bay; a great place to getaway in the summer time or live year round.
