Sudden Valley Affordable Versatility

Fabulous living just outside Bellingham proper in the " gated "community of Sudden Valley.  Oh roughly 10 minutes outside of downtown Bellingham.  It's  not so much gated as they are neighborhoods and there are 6 of them, Gates 1,2, 3, 5, 9, and 13.

You can break them down by their terrain.

Gates 1 and 2 are on the South end of Lake Whatcom which tends to get more sun and is less rugged than their counterparts.   Being on the waterfront means  lower, more level lots but also higher prices as well.  The pricing in Gates 1 and 2 start at $234,00 ending at $1,000,000.  Since 12/1/08 sold homes in these gates varied from $197,000-$400,000.
Gates 1 and 2 are also home to the Sudden Valley Golf and Country Club, Bob's Burger and Brews and its'   own salon and spa.

Don't want to spend your time maintaining the yard, then the Condo life must be for you.  Situated in Gate 2, are the Lakeridge, Ranch House and Ridgefield Condominium Complexes overlooking the golf-course or Lake Louise.   Prices start for a Studio Condo at $89,500 ending with a 3B/2B at $299,900.
For those that want a denser landscape with more shade (tall evergreens, loads of fern and moss) and sloped terrain,  Gates 3, 9, and 13, which are situated in the middle of Sudden Valley.  There are some fabulous newly constructed homes in these gates with very reasonable prices in addition to homes built in the late 70's. The homes in this middle region are priced from $110,000 to $425,000  and sales varied from $192,000-$390,000.
Gate 5 the most westerly of all, off of Lake Louise Rd.,  is probably the steepest, but with height comes view.  Get out your all terrain vehicle and head up to to the top of Louise View Dr. for a fantastic view of the hills and lake.
Again, you will find denser landscapes and rugged sloping.  The prices in Gate 5 start at $149,000 ending at $729,000. Sales from 12/1/08 to current were $291,000 thru $299,000.

This community has so much to offer with all of its variety, be it waterfront living to a rustic cabin feel nestled amongst tall evergreens.  Homeowners can also enjoy the community clubhouse and swimming pool set to open June 20th.  Sudden Valley [viddler id=e634febf&w=437&h=370]is also very wildlife conscientious.  So the " deer and the antelope" will roam wild through your neighborhood.

So what are you looking for?  Sun, Lake-living?  Golf?  Love to sit out on your deck and enjoy the view in the shade of a tall Cedar?      Then Sudden Valley is for you!
