Whatcom County Home & Garden Show in Lynden this Weekend

If you're looking for remodeling or landscaping ideas you might want to go up to Lynden this weekend and check out the Whatcom County Home and Garden Show. There will be over 200 vendors that are displaying their wares, landscapers, builders, remodelers and I'll bet they'll be lots of people there with new green energy-saving ideas.

This will be the 31st year for the show sponsored by the the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County . There'll be featured speakers every day. At 6 p.m. Friday, Puget Sound Energy's Andy Wappler will talk about how to save money and reduce household energy consumption. At 1 p.m. Saturday, the main attraction will be Dan Vickery and Matt Locke of HGTV's "Design Star" competition. At 1 p.m. Sunday, Ciscoe Morris of KING-5 TV will share his gardening expertise.

The show is in  the Henry Jansen building at the Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center, and will be be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 5; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 6; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 7, .
