Big Rock Garden on top of Alabama Hill in Bellingham

I’m almost ashamed to admit that it took me 13 years living in the Bellingham area before experiencing this tranquil oasis known as the Big Rock Garden. Located at the top of Alabama Hill nestled among some of Bellingham’s premier Real Estate and walking distance to Lake Whatcom.
Current home prices for the 17 listed properties in the immediate area range from $240k for a 3 bedroom rambler up to $565k for a 4 bedroom, 3000 sqft view home.

North Shore Drive Neighborhood

North Shore Road begins just outside the city limits of Bellingham and runs along the base of Squalicum and Stuart mountains on the northeast side of Lake Whatcom. A continuation of Northshore Dr. in the Silver Beach Neighborhood, North Shore Rd. runs close to the shoreline of the lake for a little more than five miles before it ends.
This upscale residential neighborhood has many nice waterfront homes. Most waterfront homes here have private docks, beautiful views and enjoy the warm afternoon and evening sun. Lake Whatcom is used by residents for boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing, and kayaking.
